The weekend continues with “Songs of Home,” featuring Adult Chorfest, an 85-member ensemble of singers from across British Columbia, alongside the British Columbia Youth Choir.
Audiences can expect a powerful and inspiring program celebrating Canada’s landscapes, stories, and traditions through choral music. The concert includes works inspired by rivers, forests, Indigenous voices, folk traditions, and Canadian poetry, performed under the direction of guest conductor Fiona Blackburn with accompanist Tim Plait.
The BC Youth Choir, made up of exceptional singers aged 16–25 from across the province, is led this year by acclaimed conductor Scott Leithead.
